Pre-made stuff

  • Costco Bulgogi meat - preheat cast iron pan on high grill for min. of 20 mins. Cook in batches.

  • Buy white rice from any take out place.

  • Wide leaf lettuce for wraps.

  • Chili garlic sauce.

Home-made sides


Marinated cucumbers

  • 1 cucumber (English, Persian, Pickling are all good) about 1.5 cups sliced

  • 1 tbs soy sauce

  • 2 tbs rice vinegar

  • 1 tbs sugar

  • 1 tsp Korean red chili power ( or 1/2 tsp smoked paprika & 1/2 tsp cayenne)

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

  1. Slice cucumbers into thin slices.

  2. Mix soy cause, vinegar, sugar, and spices in a bowl. Add cucumbers.

  3. Garnish with onions and seeds.

  4. Serve immediately or let sit in the frig for the cucumbers to absorb the dressing.

Mango Salsa

  1. Mix diced mango, cilantro, green onion, and line juice. Serve immediately or refrigerate.

Quick Pickled Carrots and Beets

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar

  • pinch of salt

  • 17 oz. of thin sliced carrots/beets

  1. Boil water and sugar to dissolve. Combine sugar water, vinegar, and salt pour over vegetables in jars.

  2. Let sit on counter for 30 mins.

  3. Then min. 3 hrs in the refrigerator.

*Shaving the carrot with a peeler was better than the julienned.
